Why Apollo Hosting is notrecommended?
Bad reputation in customer support
Apollo provides simple and affordable web hosting services. They were reputable and reliable in the past – they were even once rated as top Host by CNet! However, a quick search on the recent customer reviews show that their customer supports are doing not so good.
Overpriced hosting plans
More over, with a price of $6.96/mo for 50GB disk space 500GB bandwidth – which makes me think they extremely over charging their clients. Compare to BlueHost, who’s offering unlimited disk space and bandwidth; Hostgator 600GB disk space and 6,000GB bandwidth with around the same price! I think your choice with Apollo is clear.
Plesk control panel
I feel like ‘Yikes!’ when I see the name Plesk. Be aware that Apollo Hosting is using Plesk as their web server control panel – which is a big ‘NO’ for me. Plesk is just not user friendly and is not suitable for the beginners when compare to cPanel.

Conclusion: Apollo hosting is extermely overpriced!
$6.97/mo for 50GB disk storage? Gimme a break! Apollo hosting is costing waaaay too much and I don’t see any special in their hosting features. Limited disk storage/bandwidth, limited addon domains, limited e-mail account – sorry Apollo Hosting, I saw too many limitation in your service and your price is just too expensive! Apollo Hosting – not recommended.
