iPage has been around for more than 10 years. The company used to be a web solution provider that provides one-stop solution to those who need web design, website development, and hosting services. It went inactive and out of the scene for some years before a total relaunch in October 2009. Now, the "new" iPage is leaded by a brand new management and focuses mainly on shared hosting services.

My iPage Review

My venture with iPage started in the early days when the new management took over and refurbish the company in late 2009. This review was written (and updated regularly) based on a test account I am still currently holding at iPage. In general, iPage is my top recommendation for those who want cheap web host – the webhost’s price tag is extremely cheap and its server is performing better than average according to my record.

Live chat support is nothing but excellent (according to my last check on March 2010) – I asked some technical questions about Carbonite and the company’s refund policy, all questions were answered professionally. I never test on their phone support quality thus can’t comment anything on it. However, according to iPage’s official, their phone supports are run by an award winning team based in North America (I guess that sounds reliable too, eh?).

Conclusion: Is iPage Hosting Recommended?

Personally, I find iPage is a great hosting solution for those who wants a balance between quality and price. $3.50/mo can merely buy you a Starbucks coffee but with that price iPage is offering you the capacity to host unlimited addon domain with 24/7 support. My test site hosted at iPage has been operating smoothly for more than a year before it expired (and I am holding another new iPage account now, which also runs smoothly). And, don’t forget that all iPage users are all protected by the Anytime Money-Back Guarantee – which is another big plus compare to others.

With that being said, if you are searching for a budget hosting service, I don’t see the reason to look further . But hey, then again, that’s me – If you think you can get a better deal elsewhere, feel free to do so.
