Posted by Jerry in First off, Happy New Year! Wish year 2009 will be a fruitful year for every one of us here. I’m sorry that my new year wishes didn’t come earlier – I was pretty loaded up with all the parties and (surprise surprise) updating works at W.H.S.R.
So here you go, some quick updates on the website’s recent changes.
W.H.S.R. Google PR updated!
Guess what! Google PR is updated and my website is now officially PR5. Yeah it’s true that Google PR means nothing nowadays and I am not seeing any significant boost in term of traffics after Google PR updates; however, it feels good when you know that your work is being credited (by Google PR and by people who link back to my website).

WebHostingPad is now my favorite budget web host!
Dot5 Hosting used to be my pick when it comes to budget hosting.
Not anymore now. Dot5 Hosting turned kinda problematic recently and coincidentally I noticed that WebHostingPad is doing some major improvement – after studying and justifying both, WebHostingPad is promoted as my Best Budget Hosting now.
Fine tuning on website designs
I had done some fine tuning on W.H.S.R. designs back in early December. Several new link structures are added in order to provide better site navigation.
Web Hosting Re-review
Last but not least, there are a lot of updates with my rating on other hosting. After more than 6 months of testing, I’m re-rating some of the hosting services I reviewed earlier. Frankly the rework is pretty tedious but I’m glad that my hosting recommendation is more time-accurate by now.
Among the major changes: Hostmonster, after disappointing me for several times, is de-ranked to a “B”. After an in-depth discussion with a current IX Web Hosting user, I decided to level up their service to C rating (from C-). Also, WebHostingPad is the biggest winner for this round as the hosting company jumped from B to A- rating.
