About Web Hosting Secret Revealed

Hello and welcome to WebHostingSecretRevealed.com (WHSR)!

Established in May 2008, WHSR is a blog/site specially designed for those who are looking for reliable hosting reviews and practical web development guides.

Like many other mom-and-pop sites, WHSR is first started (and run) by the single person – me, Jerry Low. I used to be the victim of several different bad hosting companies (eg. Network Eleven – the worst, Gate.com, Apollo Hosting… etc) and  I knew exactly how much hassles and money it takes to get unstuck. A bad host is more than just crappy servers or lousy after-sales services, it will steal your money and even rob your business before you know it –  I have been thru all that and I don’t want you to be the next person in line.

This explains why WHSR got established in the first place.

Meet Our Team – Writers At WHSR

Jerry Low

Jerry Low – Founder, editor, and a regular author on WHSR; freelance web developer/marketer; proud father of one; and yes, a lousy StarCraft 2 player.

I’m educated as an manufacturing engineer but I’ve always been passionate with the web and computers (I’m a self-taught web programmer!). I spent two years working in the 8-6 routine as a design engineer and 10-2 in the midnight as a freelance web developer (it was a very tiring process but I enjoy every bit of it!). In 2006, I decided to leave my day job and started my venture on the Internet; and, the rest is pretty much history.

When I’m not with the computers, I’ll be mostly running on the basket ball court or punching my Nikon D90 camera.

Robert Ludrosky

Robert Ludrosky has been in the IT industry for more than six years.

Robert has just recently completed his BSIT/NTC degree from the University of Phoenix and he is now working on a MIS degree. So far in his career, he has held many different positions – from a Help Desk Analysis to a Network Engineer for the DoD. Robert also has an A+, CCNA, and CCNA-V certification.

During his free time, Robert writes at Insane Blogging.

Danielle Towner

Danielle Towner is a simple, small town girl that has discovered a passion for all things digital. With a degree in marketing and several years of agency experience under her belt she has played a significant role in nearly every type of marketing for clients of all shapes and sizes. With her eagerness to learn, she strives to always be on the cusp of the next big thing.

Danielle doesn’t just carry a digital marketer label though. When she steps away from her digital marketing passion you can see her ministering to young adults at the local Chi Alpha Christian Fellowship, honing her photography skills, and dreaming about having a book published some day. WHSR Hosting Review Policy – What’s So Special With My Hosting Reviews

You can find lots of hosting review sites and web host listing on the Internet but none of them are the same as WHSR.

WHSR Hosting Reviews Are For Real

At WHSR, web hosting companies are reviewed from the inside.

I signup, examine, and review almost (nearly 85%) all of the web hosts listed on WHSR. I don’t go to a web host, look at their designs and web features and tell you "Hey look, this web host offers this and that. It sounds like a good host (and they pay high affiliate commission to me) so yeah, you should go with this web host".

No, I don’t do that.

As a web developer, I work with lots of different web hosting and domain companies. To name a few, I am/was a customer of BlueHost, Dot 5, Exabytes, FatCow, Gate.com, GoDaddy, Hostgator, Hostmonster, InMotion, iPage, JustHost, Lunarpages, Network Eleven, PowWeb, SiteCloud, WebHostingPad, and so on. This allows me to share my   Hosting reviews are based on my real personal experiences (and of course, based on my personal preferences). I believe this is something unique you don’t see often.

FTC Disclosure/ Affiliation With Hosting Companies

I believe in honesty and this is why I want you to know I receive compensation from some of the hosting companies I reviewed. By Federal Trade Commission (FTC) regulation, it is my responsibility to disclosure of any relationship I have between a product or service provider when I write about’em. So please note that:

  • I am never paid to do a hosting review. I never accept money to review a product or service. I invest my own time to review and test products. I pay out of my own pocket the cost to produce all audio and/or video I record about products.
  • If I create a link to a product or service in a review, sometimes I may get paid a commission if you purchase the product or service. These links are included after posts are written, and posts are never composed for the purpose of including advertising.
  • No advertiser will ever influence the content, topics or posts made in this blog.

I strike hard in giving you the best, fair, and honest review. If a web host is bad, I’ll tell you it’s bad; if a web host is good, I’ll recommend it to you. My job here is to compare, review, and examine hosting companies so you can make informed purchase decision. It takes a lot of money and time to compile (and maintain) such works and there’s nothing wrong with getting paid on my hardwork.

If you think my review works are helpful, please support me by buying via my affiliate links.
